Lisa Bowman began her real estate career working for her family’s company, working with her dad after college. She went on to work for Union Carbide and other companies, but the lure of real estate was always there and 19 years ago, Lisa returned and hasn’t looked back.
As Broker & Owner of Bowman Properties, Lisa serves Litchfield and Fairfield counties of Connecticut. An incredible 90% of her
business comes from repeat clients, an impressive feat that speaks to the trust she inspires in those she works with. “My main focus is on people,” Lisa explains. “I’m extremely customer service oriented, and I go 100% for my clients. Whether it’s a $35,000 cottage or a million-dollar house, I treat everyone the same way.”
This emphasis on people and relationships keeps clients coming back. “I strive to build relationships that last a lifetime,” Lisa says. Her clients trust her to look out for their best interests, not her own. “I don’t push people into houses, and my clients appreciate that. You can’t convince someone to buy a house, it’s a feeling they get when they walk in the door. They have to know that they can see themselves in this house.”
Another way Lisa distinguishes herself is through her commitment to customer service. Her clients can always reach her when they need her. “If I’m awake, I answer the phone,” she says. “Clients can call or text me and I’m always responsive.”
When it comes to marketing her listings and staying in touch with her clients, Lisa emphasizes the effectiveness of Digital Marketing. “I have seen a great return on marketing listings through Facebook, Instagram, and Zillow.” She also keeps in touch with her clients through Video texts, checking in on them, and providing market updates.
Giving back to her community is important to Lisa. She is on the Housing Partnership Commission to address
the important issue of securing more affordable housing in New Milford. She also volunteers at the local senior center. When she is not working or giving back, Lisa and her husband enjoy hiking in local parks, as well as boating on Candlewood Lake.
In the future, Lisa plans to expand her company, adding additional agents so she can do more on the listing end. Above all, she plans to continue going above and
beyond for her clients. “As an agent, it’s all about relationships and serving your clients,” she says. “I do not preview homes. Instead, I love to walk in a house for the first time with my client, and experience the same excitement they do, when they realize that this is the right house for them.”
